Costume
my characters will be wearing designer/hood clothing to show money and success along with others wearing sports clothing. the clothing displays how each life style gives you different luxuries and ways of life. the other group will be dressed in urban but formal clothes to show the difference in personality and life choices. also, basketball clothing to show their pride for the sport and success they want to achieve. 

Lighting
i will have mainly more night based scenes as that's when things become more dramatic and life styles can be shown from different views. i will have street lights, natural light and shadows to display different emotions and effects to the audience as it shows low-key lighting and high key for when things are good or bad. for example, high key lighting for scenes which are good and positive.i'd use low-key lighting for negative scenes e.g. streets or illegal things.
Actors

teenagers as they fit the criteria of the coming of age and the story line. an example of the people i will use are

they will be apart of the friendship group whom split up at the start and take separate paths.
they're all teenagers who are living/coming up in a urban city/environment so they'll have personal relations with the topics that are going to be shown. 
there will be 2 personalities shown throughout as one will be energetic and willingness to learn and achieve new goals whereas, the other one is giving up and resulting to bad things in life instead of trying to succeed. this is because its something that occurs with a teenager at a young age as they're not sure what to do or think and how each attitude will lead you to a better or worse place. i will use close ups to show facial expressions along with long shots to show body posture. this will show how they've changed and the confidence they have built up either by illegal or legal activities. for example the thugs will be more aggressive and informal as they think they're more stronger than the others and that they can cause harm to them. whereas, the others will mind their business and wont acknowledge their behaviour but only keep it as hi and bye.

i will be using designer/urban clothing to express the come up of the characters and what they earn from these illegal activities or to express how people dress in these areas to either show off or urban clothing to demonstrate lack of wealth. furthermore, im going to use fake drugs (blurred because of watershed) scales and knifes to demonstrate enigma codes and what that type of life brings. whereas, im going to use basketball kits, balls, shoes just to show the positiveness of basketball and use it as an enigma code as it helps the boys to escape from a life of crime at the end. 

Setting
basketball court- training and  becomes better and better. from practising his skills, layups, shots everything just to become someone and make it out of the hood. when hes training i will use non diegetic sound (motivational urban music maybe meekmill) and this will be presented in a montage form.  Some shots will be in high key lighting to show the purity and positiveness of Basketball whereas, other scenes will have low key lighting due to it being negative.

Plan Kumar Family Rodger's Family Polish builders Old woman's house Traffic Warden  The show Capital is a show about a street that has begun to receive postcards from a mysterious sender, which say 'we want what you have',  the statement of whether Capital is a family drama rather than a crime drama is a very mixed opinion.  A definition of a crime Drama is a TV programme that focuses on a crime that is committed and is being researched to be solved. As for any genre, the crime drama features conventions such as Police tapes, Detectives, Victims and more. At the start of the clip it shows 2 people trying to run away from something which was a long shot showing action .18 seconds into the clip an enigma code which showed a pan of a car speeding along the road.18-26 seconds linked with the car scene which is a  long shot then turns into a close up showing facial expression and that he has realized something is going to happen.40 seconds - 45 seconds there's a shot/reverse shot of the 2 people talking in the alley planning what to do.52 seconds there is a long shot of the people around the porch with an action shot  and an  enigma code of gun which connotes there'll be some sort of violence that is going to happen during this scene which relates to the red car and 2 people.55 seconds into the clip it has an extreme long  shot and pan  of the people getting in the car, which makes us wonder where they're going and why they need their guns. 1minute 7 medium tracking shot of one of the males looking back at the other
